The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) has announced the finalists for its 2014 Annual Garden State Awards of Excellence. In its 21st year, this annual program recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of NJAA’s multi-family rental housing member companies and their professionals.
Nearly 600 industry leaders and guests are expected at this year’s celebration, which will be held on Oct. 30 at The Hilton East Brunswick Hotel. The evening, which features a 1920s Soiree theme, will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards presentation at 7:30 p.m., and an after-party to continue the celebration.
“The multi-family industry is responsible for more than 44,000 jobs and over $5.7 billion added to New Jersey’s economy annually,” said Jean Maddalon, executive director of NJAA. “The Garden State Awards recognize excellence in this vital industry, and highlight the commitment of our membership to continuously improving the state’s diverse multi-family housing stock for the future.”
Nominations were open to all NJAA members, member properties and associate members, with the opportunity to showcase successes in more than 40 categories. These include company and individual achievements in management, aesthetics and green building, new construction and retrofits, as well as accomplishments in various associate categories. Individuals who have received industry designations through NJAA’s professional development sessions also will be recognized.
