Weichert, Realtors successfully raised $80,000 in donations for the American Cancer Society (ACS) to fund breast cancer research during its 14th Annual Charity Golf Outing. Proceeds from the successful event bring the grand total that Weichert has raised for the ACS to more than $730,000 since the annual fundraiser began in 2001.
“The generosity of the individuals and businesses in the area that came out to support this worthy cause is overwhelming,” said Jacelyn Botti, head of residential sales for Weichert, Realtors. “I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the event, including the many Weichert offices and affiliated companies, and the numerous private and corporate sponsors who gave so generously to support a cause that touches so many of our lives.”
Held annually at the picturesque Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, this year nearly 207 golfers and spa treatment participants enjoyed a buffet luncheon, three-hour cocktail reception/buffet, prizes and awards. Additionally, in the spirit of the occasion, special guest speaker and breast cancer survivor, Jennifer Blanchard, from the Basking Ridge office of Weichert, Realtors, shared her story of survival with the numerous attendees and encouraged them to make generous contributions toward the cause so that others like her may successfully finish their fight with cancer.
Nearly 90 organizations supported the fundraiser through various forms of sponsorship. Top sponsors included Radian Guaranty and UNIRISC & Executive Movers Service.
