YMCA program free for cancer survivors

The Edison YMCA, in collaboration with the Livestrong Foundation, is providing the Energy for Life physical-activity program for cancer survivors age 18 and older. The next session of the free, 12-week program begins in October.

Sessions meet 7:15-8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday or 1-2:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The class will focus on strength, flexibility, cardiovascular and meditation techniques. Survivors of all types of cancers are welcome, from diagnosis to years beyond.
