Philip Wolff was hired as a Hillsborough police officer and sworn in at the Sept. 23 meeting of the Township Committee.
His salary will be $45,209 annually.
The hiring brings the force to one chief, one captain, four lieutenants, seven sergeants, six corporals and 32 patrol officers — a total of 51.
The governing body authorized Chief Paul Kaminsky to begin the hiring process for another patrol officer to fill a vacancy as soon as possible.
