The Lambertville Fire Department will hold its annual Fire Prevention Week program on Oct. 8 at the Union/Fleetwing Fire Station, 230 N. Main St., Lambertville. The Program will run from 7-8:30 p.m.
During the Program a number of subjects will be covered, including smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, kitchen fires, escape routes, family fire drills and more.
The department also will have a "Fire Education Trailer" on site which resembles part of a house to highlight what’s been talked about inside the Fire Station.
During the Fire Prevention Week Program those over the age of 18 will have the opportunity to sign up for a spot in Lambertville’s first "Firefighter Ride Along and Recruitment Program."
This program will be held on Oct. 11 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The program will allow participates to ride along and experience what firefighters do on a daily basis.
The Lambertville Fire Department, Board of Fire Commissioners and District Chief Matt Hartigan urge all to join them for these educational opportunities.
