LAMBERTVILLE: Masquerading pets to parade Oct. 18

Event has become a tradition

Animal Alliance’s "Pet Masquerade" will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mary Sheridan Park on York Street in Lambertville.
The parade beings promptly at 12:30 p.m.
The event encourages people to grab a costume for their four-legged friend and come out for a "howling" good time of laughter, family fun, food, prizes and costume competitions.
All proceeds benefit operations at Animal Alliance’s Planned Pethood clinic and the Robert W. Curts Memorial Pet Adoption Center.
Registration is $15 and is open from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The first 75 registrants receive goodie bags.
Furry participants will be judged in the categories of best small, medium and large, and "Pair/Group of Pets" and "Best in Show."
All participants and spectators can relish in the music, candy, raffles, prizes and Animal Alliance’s vegan chili.
Animal Alliance will also have several animals available for adoption at the event.
Rain date is Saturday, Oct. 25.
"Pet Masquerade is a special event to the community and also to all the employees and volunteers at Animal Alliance," said Annie Trinkle, executive director of Animal Alliance.
"We love seeing so many of the animals Animal Alliance has adopted out locally who participate in the parade, as well as seeing so many others who return to Lambertville for this special event."
Proceeds benefit the programs of Animal Alliance: rescue, rehabilitation, spay/neuter, adoption, Planned Pethood low cost spay/neuter clinic, and the agency’s retail pet adoption center located at 1432 Route 179 North in West Amwell.
