Food historian Judith Krall-Russo will offer a program on apples at 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Sayreville Public Library, Washington Road.
A lecture will provide information on why the apple was so important to early Americans and what role New Jersey played in the growth and production of apple products such as apple cider and applejack. A tasting will feature apple treats.
