Registration will be held for the Metuchen Grapplers (grades 2-6) and the wrestling teams (grades 7-8) from 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 22 at the Little League clubhouse on Oakland Avenue in Metuchen.
Practices will begin on Nov. 11. Both teams will participate in a series of dual meets, as well as several tournaments starting in December.
All students in grades 2-8 residing in Metuchen and North Edison (08820) are eligible to join.
The cost of registration is $80 for each wrestler in a family, plus a refundable $80 work bond. Scholarships are available.
At the start of the season, all wrestlers will receive a t-shirt, and new wrestlers will receive a hooded sweatshirt. The Grapplers are also looking for volunteer coaches with wrestling experience to help with the program.
In addition to the wrestling teams, there is a pre-team clinic for grades K-2. The registration cost for this clinic is $75.
