HOWELL — Live musical entertainment and fun activities will be featured at the “Rock The Farm” Amplify Your Life Music Festival to be held in Howell on Oct. 11.
The event is sponsored by Musicians on a Mission, a nonprofit organization.
The organization will host the outdoor music festival from 2-11 p.m. at Regan’s Hollow Farm, 260 Casino Drive, Howell. Admission will be $15.
Musicians on a Mission has been in existence for just over three years. It strives to use the power of music to inspire people and to create opportunities for musicians to network and make a difference through their music, according to co-founder Cathy Noblick.
“We like to provide the chance for local performers to use music in their communities and we invite local musicians to perform and collect money so they can continue to perform in the future,” Noblick said.
Musicians on a Mission has featured more than 400 local musicians, according to its website.
The organizers of “Rock The Farm” are working with CFC Loud n Clear, which seeks to help young adults find a fun way to stay sober and out of trouble after being treated for a drug or alcohol problem, according to Noblick.
“CFC provides a range of services like social and spiritual activities to really help these young adults stay sober and we think they have a wonderful mission and are highly motivated which is why we decided to partner with them on this event,” Noblick said.
The festival is expected to include performances by Harper’s Fellow, Deal Casino, Karmic Juggernaut and the Matt O’Ree Acoustic Band, among other acts.
Activities and attractions will include a yoga class, volleyball, horseshoes, food and vendors.
Tickets for “Rock The Farm” may be purchased at cfcloudnclear.org. Those who purchase tickets in advance will receive 20 tickets for a gift auction that will be held at the event.
“We are expecting a full day of music, live entertainment and most of all fun,” Noblick said.
