SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Single car crash kills woman

South Brunswick Police are investigating a car accident that claimed the life of a North Brunswick teacher Wednesday afternoon.
At 1:55 p.m. police received several 911 calls reporting an accident on Deans Rhode Hall Road about a quarter mile west of the New Jersey Turnpike overpass, police said.
Rescue workers from the Monmouth Junction and Brookview Fire Departments and an EMS crew from South Brunswick responded, along with paramedics.
The female victim, identified by police on Thursday as Aubrey Pappas, 35, of Monroe, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation found Ms. Pappas was traveling east on Deans Rhode Hall Road in a 2013 Ford Edge, when her vehicle left the road and struck a tree off the right shoulder of the road.
The vehicle then spun back into the roadway and caught fire before coming to rest in the westbound lane.
According to police, Ms. Pappas was on her way home form her job as a teacher in North Brunswick at the time of the accident.
Police closed Deans Hall Road between Fresh Ponds and Cranbury Roads for a time during the investigation.
