Volunteer Fire Company No. 3 celebrated its expanded building on Woods Road at an open house Oct. 11.
The day, which also celebrated Fire Prevention Month, also featured tours, free hot dogs and face painting. The new apparatus wing, at right, is a 1,235-square-foot expansion that will provide more room for ladder and pumper trucks, two boats, a rescue truck and lockers and equipment for the approximately 48 members.
Architecturally, the work added peaks over the bays and more glass in the doors.
