The Monmouth County Association of Realtors (MCAR) announces they have chosen Diane Traverso, Prudential Zack Shore Properties, as 2014 Realtor of the Year and Marissa Ferrari, Keller Williams-East Monmouth as 2014 Realtor- Associate of the Year. These individuals are being recognized for their effort and work expended in the interest of their community, humanitarian services, in the interest and cause of the Realtor Association, their profession and their clients. Traverso began her real estate career in 1986 as a sales associate with Jersey Shore Real Estate. In 2001, she received her New Jersey Brokers license. She was the manager of Prudential Zack Shore Properties for seven years and has been a NJAR Circle of Excellence Sales Award recipient.
Traverso is currently the co-chair of the MCAR RPAC Committee and a NJAR director. She is the immediate past president of Women’s Council of Realtors Monmouth County (WCR) and is still an active member. She has co-chaired the MCAR Public Relations Committee and has been an active member of the By Laws, Membership, Managers and Legislative and Political Affairs Committees. She has been an integral part of many charitable fundraising activities for both MCAR and WCR including Bras for a Cause, Beach Sweeps, Foodbank drives, 5K Races.
“Diane is a Realtor who exemplifies the highest of professional standards and ethics and is truly deserving of the Realtor of the Year award,” said Donald T. Willis, executive vice president of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors. “She is committed to achieving excellence and is an asset to her community and to the real estate profession.”
Ferrari began her real estate career while she was enrolled as a full-time student of Rutgers University, obtaining her bachelor of science degree in environmental and business economics. She has been a NJAR Circle of Excellence Sales Award recipient since 2009. She obtained her broker’s license in 2009. She has served on the Associate Leadership Council (ALC) at Keller Williams Realty since she joined the company in 2010. Ferrari gives back to her community and local charities both through Keller Williams Cares and as a board member for The Believe Project. She is a founding council member and MCAR’s 2014 chair of the Young Professionals Network, bringing young professionals together to share ideas and advance the future of real estate. “A relatively new member of MCAR, Marissa has emerged as a leader who contributes her time and knowledge not only in the real estate community, but in the Monmouth County community, and we are so pleased to be able to bestow this prestigious award to her this year,” said Willis. “She takes great pride in being a Realtor and is an enthusiastic and dedicated leader.”
