HILLSBOROUGH: Raider band sweeps state awards

The Hillsborough Raider Marching Band competed in the U.S. Bands New Jersey State Championship on Saturday at Rutgers University.
In Group V competition the Raiders performed their show, "Hide & Seek," and scored an amazing 90.388 to win first place. They also brought home caption awards for best music, best visual, best guard and best effect.
Over the past few years, the Hillsborough Raider Marching Band’s reputation has grown under the direction of Jules Haran and it is now a Group V band with 113 members (95 musicians and 18 in the color guard).
The Marching Band will travel to Annapolis, Maryland, this weekend to compete in the Northeast Edition of the Marching Music Series , "Music In Motion" at the Naval Academy.
