After a lengthy investigation, Hopewell Township police Detective Frank Tulko has charged six people involved with several car burglaries and three car thefts that occurred in Hopewell Borough and Hopewell Township in the early part of summer, according to Chief Lance D. Maloney.
. On June 19, patrol officers responded to several calls in Hopewell Borough after residents found that their cars had been burglarized overnight with various items being taken, including small amounts of cash. One resident found that a 2011 Honda CRV had been stolen.
On July 1, patrol officers responded to numerous calls in Brandon Farms, located in Hopewell Township, to check out additional car burglaries. Two cars, a 2004 Ford Expedition and a 2003 Honda Pilot, also were stolen from the neighborhood.
During the early morning hours of July 3, Upper Makefield Township police responded to the report of suspicious activity around parked cars.
Responding officers arrested the following for loitering: Justin Steward, 22, of Adirondak Road, Bordentown; Kareem Jeffries, 21, of North Dean Avenue, Trenton; and Rickesha Woodard. 19, of Carlyle Court, Robbinsville.
This information was passed along to Detective Tulko by Upper Makefield Detective Pat Haines.
A follow-up investigation by Detective Tulko found that Mr. Steward, Mr. Jeffries, and Ms. Woodard were involved with the car thefts and burglaries in Brandon Farms and Hopewell Borough.
Further investigation also led Detective Tulko to link Jeremy Steward and Taquan Foxworth, 20, of Pennington Road, Trenton, to the car thefts and burglaries in Brandon Farms. Rasheed Brooks, 20, of Eisenhower Avenue, Trenton, also was implicated in the car theft and burglaries in Hopewell Borough.
The Ford Expedition and Honda Pilot were recovered on July 9 in Trenton. The Honda CRV has not been recovered.

— Jeremy R Steward — Theft of vehicle (two counts), theft (six counts) and burglary (11 counts).
— Kareem T. Jeffries — Theft of vehicle (two counts), theft (six counts) and burglary (11 counts).
— Taquan D. Foxworth — Theft of vehicle (two counts), theft (six counts) and burglary (11 counts).
— Rickesha Woodard — Theft of vehicle (two counts).
— Justin R. Steward, 18, of Cain Avenue, Trenton — Theft of vehicle (two counts), theft (six counts) and burglary (11 counts).
Hopewell Borough criminal charges:
— Justin R. Steward —Theft of vehicle (one count), theft (eight counts) and burglary (eight counts).
— Rickesha D. Woodard — Theft of vehicle (one count), theft (eight counts) and burglary (eight counts).
—. Rasheed D. Brooks, 20 of Eisenhower Avenue, Trenton — Theft of vehicle (one count), theft (eight counts) and burglary (eight counts).
— Kareem T. Jeffries — Theft of vehicle (one count), theft (eight counts) and burglary (eight counts).
Justin Steward and Kareem Jefferies remain lodged at the Bucks County Jail on the Pennsylvania charges. Taquan Foxworth is lodged at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $20,000 bail on the above listed charges. Jeremy Steward, Rickesha Woodard and Rasheed Brooks were processed at police headquarters and were later released.
These cases have been forwarded to the Mercer County prosecutor’s office for review.
