The Crosswicks Community Association Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Visit will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7. During the summer of 2015, the Crosswicks Community House will receive significant upgrades. Two of the major projects are disability-accessible improvements; a wheelchair lift will be incorporated within the building and a handicap-accessible toilet room will be added. Another major improvement will be the installation of an automatic fire alarm system. Finally, a new flooring in the meeting room will replace the existing carpet and underlying tile. The Crosswicks Monthly Meeting has joined the reuse movement with Shoebox Recycling and SoleMate. They pay 50 cents per pound for good, reusable and re-wearable shoes that are collected. This collection will help the meeting earn a little money while clearing out closets and sharing with those in need.
