West Long Branch Mayor Janet Tucci held off a challenge from Democrat Jack Gindi in the Nov. 4 municipal election.
The Republican mayor almost doubled her challenger’s vote count, tallying 1,489 votes to Gindi’s 768. Republican Borough Council incumbents Fred Migliaccio and Christopher Neyhart fended off a challenge from Democrats Mark Engel and Melissa Klang.
Migliaccio was the leading vote-getter with 1,517 votes, while Neyhart’s 1,441 votes were enough to best Engel’s 655 votes and Klang’s 709 votes.
Results are unofficial until certified by the Monmouth County Board of Elections.
