Lambertville-based Fisherman’s Mark was among the 140 recipients to receive a $1,000 grant award to support its program from the Wells Fargo Community Connections program.
The program was established to give local store managers an opportunity to make a $1,000 charitable contribution on behalf of Wells Fargo to a non-profit of their choice. The grants went to non-profits who provide services in the areas of community development, education, human services, arts and culture, environmental and civic projects.
Wells Fargo recently distributed more than $140,000 in grants to non-profits in 10 counties, including Somerset and Hunterdon, at a breakfast at the East Hanover Marriott in Whippany. This was the first and largest Wells Fargo community-giving event held in the Northeast region.
Fisherman’s Mark runs a food pantry, links individuals and families to available resources promoting self-sufficiency, intervenes for clients at risk, with complex of chronic needs that require treatment coordination and advocacy, has programs for the Latino community and runs a year-round early learning center.
