Historical Society’s annual fundraiser
The Lambertville Historical Society’s third annual holiday compact disc, "Season’s Greetings from Lambertville 2014," is a fundraiser for the society and the James Marshall House Museum. Recording artists will hold two free concerts previewing their songs in upcoming weeks.
This year’s compilation offers 18 holiday songs, comprising one hour of music, showcasing the quality and personalities of Lambertville’s artists. There are well-known carols and standards, as well as original compositions.
The contributing acts are: Back Porch Jugband, Barry Peterson, Brad Staudle and Glenn McClelland, Bronwyn Bird and Justin Nawn, Deva Troy, Hunterdon Harmonizers Chorus, J.B. Kline, Jean Milman, John Thomas, Key of She, Lambertville Traditional Carol Society, Laurie Vosburg, Mary Barry Freedman, Pat Foran, Santa P and the Elves, The Lifters, Tom Amoriello, Tom Brown and What About Me.
A CD release concert will take place Sunday, Nov. 23, from 2-6 p.m. at YMAC, 65 Wilson St., Lambertville. A second concert, sponsored by the Lambertville Library in cooperation with the Lambertville Historical Society, will take place Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 7-9 p.m. at the Birdhouse Center for the Arts, 7 N. Main St. Musicians from the CD will perform their holiday songs and other tunes. Both concerts are free and open to the public.
The CD is $10 for Lambertville Historical Society members ($15 for non-members( and will be available for sale at these Lambertville venues: Blue Raccoon, Chocolate Box, J.B. Kline’s & Son, Bucks County Coffee, Lambertville Trading Company, River Queen Artisans, Rojo’s, Tirpok Cleaners, and Wonderful World of Wines, as well as Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope. Proceeds benefit the Lambertville Historical Society.
