Lauren Lee Barnett and Michael Jay Medvin were married Nov. 8, 2014, by Rabbi Joshua Goldstein, formerly of Princeton, at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, New York.
Rabbi Goldstein, a graduate of Princeton High School, is a lifelong friend of the groom’s father and officiated at the wedding of the groom’s parents in 1976.
The bride, 28, is a sales executive in New York City for Fashion Options Inc. She attended Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, and graduated from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandizing in New York City with a degree in fashion merchandizing.
She is a daughter of Dr. Larry Barnett of New Canaan, Connecticut and Karen Roweton Zoccalli, of Fairfield, Connecticut. Her father is a chiropractor in Norwalk. Her mother is an executive assistant in the Darien office of NewStar Financial Inc. of Boston.
The groom, 33 is the associate director of New York Yankees Baseball for the YES Network in Stamford, Connecticut. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1999 and from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, with a degree in sport management and has received six New York Television Emmy awards for various YES Network productions.
He is the son of Alan Medvin and Harriet Kass, of Princeton. His mother, who holds a doctorate in economics, was an executive with AT&T prior to her retirement and consults for The Conference Board in New York City.
His father was a partner in the Newark law firm of Medvin & Elberg prior to his retirement and is a past president of the New Jersey Association for Justice. He volunteers as a case developer for Centurion Ministries of Princeton.
