North Brunswick student recognized for excellence

NORTH BRUNSWICK — A senior at North Brunswick Township High School is the latest recipient of the Scholar/Athlete/ Artist Award, which is administered by the Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services.

Kunj Vyas was recognized at the Township Council meeting on Nov. 17.

In the past two years, he took on a challenging academic caseload that included 11 honors courses and seven Advanced Placement classes. He was also selected to participate in the Merck State Science Day.

He has played varsity football for three years and varsity lacrosse for two years.

Kunj is a member of the Key Club, German Club and Model UN. He is on the executive board of the Mediterranean Asian Club and is the co-founder of the Stock Market Club, which started this year.

Kunj also volunteers at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
