HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP: Police Blotter

Hopewell Township police Lt. Christopher Kascik reported:
— On Dec. 9 at 11:46 p.m., Officer James Rosso was on patrol on Pennington Road near I-95. He stopped the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet for a motor vehicle violation.
While speaking with the driver, who was identified as Menekor Kennedy, 26, of Charles Way, Hamilton, a warrant for his arrest out of Lawrence Township was located.
He was transported to police headquarters. Mr. Menekor was unable to post bail and was turned over to the custody of the Lawrence Township Police Department. He was cited for driving while suspended, not having a driver’s license, driving an unregistered vehicle and having faulty brake lamps. His case will be heard in Municipal Court.
— On Dec. 12 at 3:26 p.m., Officer Mark Panzano stopped the driver of a 2004 Hyundai for speeding on Bear Tavern Road. While speaking with the driver, who was identified as Danielle N. Kennedy, 21, of Byberry Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, a glass pipe with a small amount of marijuana was recovered.
Mr. Kennedy was transported to police headquarters. He was processed and released after being charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as speeding. His case will be heard in Municipal Court.
