BORDENTOWN CITY — Elves are on the loose in the city, and it’s up to you to find them.
”Sette Solutions came up with the idea to help generate foot traffic and awareness about the businesses in town during the holidays,” said April Sette, of marketing and public relations of Sette Solutions LLC, in an email Monday.
Downtown Bordentown Association is hosting its first Holiday Elf Scavenger Hunt, which started Dec. 6 and ends Dec. 31.
Bordentown City has holiday elves hiding in various businesses throughout city. These elves carry the clues to help you solve the “secret” Poem.
Visitors need to solve this poem — “Before I get the sniffles with my carrot noes. I needs to _____ _____ to warm me up.”
The free event is being organized by Sandra Scotto, owner of Jester’s Café, at 233 Farnsworth Ave.
Each elf will have a word that will help you solve the “secret message.” Print your game card, which can be download on the DBA website. Your game card will give you clues about the businesses in town these elves are hiding in.
Figure out who the business is, and you will find your elf, according to its website.
”One elf per store, and there are 26 elves aka 26 participating businesses,” she said. “Not every business is participating, however, on the game card, it indicates who is and gives their address.”
Once you have solved the “secret message,” you can drop off your game card to Jesters Café. Be sure to fill out your contact information so you can be notified if you won Bordentown Bucks.
