Freeholders to reorganize on Jan. 6

The Monmouth County Board of Freeholders will organize for 2015 at 4 p.m. Jan. 6 at Biotechnology High School at 5000 Kozloski Road, Freehold Township.

On the agenda will be the swearing-in of Lillian G. Burry and Gary J. Rich Sr. as members of the board. Burry and Rich were re-elected to three-year terms in the Nov. 4 election.

Also on Jan. 6, the freeholders will hold a Sine Die meeting at 2 p.m. in the second floor meeting room of the Monmouth County Hall of Records, Main Street, Freehold.

This meeting is held to conclude financial and other business matters for 2014, according to a press release. The Latin term Sine Die means the final adjournment of a legislative session, without adjourning to a specific time or date; literally, it means “adjournment without a day.” The term is most commonly used to signify the final adjournment of a session of Congress or a state legislature.
