CHESTERFIELD CHATTER: Jan. 1, 2015

The Chesterfield Township Daisy Troop 23468 is working to complete its “Three Cheers for Animals Journey.”
The girls will be holding Amazing Enya’s Animal Shelter Wish List Drive to collect much-needed wish list items for the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
During this journey, the first-grade girls have learned how to care for animals by visiting the Burlington County Animal Shelter. They had a visit from Enya, an U.S. Customs & Border Protection Agriculture Products Detection dog rescued from a Georgia shelter before joining the force. They also learned to make their own dog toys from scrap fabric.
The girls have placed collection bins in the Chesterfield Township Elementary atrium, Dickinson McNeill Veterinary Clinic and Golden Grange kennel. Deadline for collection is Saturday, Jan. 3.
Wish list items can be found at www.friendsofbcas.org/ways-help/wishlist.
Contact Melissa Hoffmann at melissahoffmann16@hotmail.com with any questions.

Planning and construction were funded by The Crosswicks Foundation; the Garden State Historic Preservation Trust through the New Jersey Historic Trust; the 1772 Foundation through the New Jersey Historic Trust; Community Development Block Grant Program made available by Chesterfield Township and the Burlington County Department of Community Development; The Paul E. Kelly Foundation; Plummer Construction; Mid-Jersey Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America; Families of the Country Roads Dance Academy; and other friends and neighbors through their participation and support of fundraising events and the Crosswicks Community Association.
