The Lawrence Township Health Department will hold a Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all dogs and cats over the age of 3 months at National Guard Armory, Eggert Crossing Road, Lawrence. All pets must be accompanied by an adult; all pets must be leashed or in suitable carriers and for safety and insurance purposes no children under 7 years of age will be allowed. All visitors are required to stop at the gate and provide identification. Volunteers are needed to assist in the registration of dogs during rabies clinic. The annual Wassailing Party at Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Road, Lawrence, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Free and open to the public. Librarian Donna Wolfe, one of the winners of the Best Home Chef in Jersey Award, will demonstrate the technique of sous vide. Sous vide (French for “under vacuum”) is a cooking method that begins with packing food into a plastic bag and placing it into a precisely controlled hot water bath.
