A workshop on “Self-Regulated Learners: Developing Lifelong Learning Skills for Success” will be held by The South Brunswick Parent Academy from 7-8:30 p.m. at Crossroads North Middle School, 635 Georges Road. Attendees will learn about the role of self-regulation in our children’s education and its importance in developing lifelong learning skills: taking control of and evaluating learning and behavior, both in and out of the classroom.

It is an introduction to Google Drive and the South Brunswick approach to this technology, opening the door to the skills necessary for college and career readiness.

The annual Valentine Party at the South Brunswick Senior Center, located in the Municipal Complex, Route 522, will be held at 11:45 a.m. Live musical entertainment by G. Winston. It will will highlight how K-12 students are taught personal finance at different levels including prioritizing financial goals, developing spending plans, obtaining financial security, distinguishing between wealth and income, and calculating the time value of money.
