BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP: Curtain to go up on ‘The Pajama Game’

Bordentown Regional High School Theatre will be presenting “The Pajama Game” on Feb. 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m.
This upbeat musical comedy won Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical. This production is recommended for audience members of all ages.
Tickets are on sale for $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Dinner and a show tickets are available for $20 for the Friday night performance only.
The score is by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. Music includes “Steam Heat” and “Hernando’s Hideaway.”
The musical follows the conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory where it’s anything but peaceful as sparks fly between new superintendent Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7.5-cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well.
The Bordentown production of this musical stars seniors Dakota Torres (Babe Williams), Jordan Browne (Sid Sorokin), Haley Szenczi (Mabel), Breanna Volz (Mae) and Ivan Trancon (Prez); and juniors Cynthia Reynolds (Gladys), Liam McCormack (Hines) and Scott Price (Hasler).
The singing and dancing ensemble features Bordentown Regional High School students of all four grade levels, who play a variety of featured roles and dance.
Prior to the Friday evening performance, the Theatre Club Parent Boosters will be sponsoring a dinner and a show in the school cafeteria, including salad, beverage, a pasta dinner and dessert as well a ticket and reserved seating to that evening’s performance.
