The Lambertville Historical Society and Director Janet Marsh Hunt are celebrating the 34th annual Juried Art Exhibition, “Lambertville and the Surrounding Area” at the Robert Beck Gallery, 204 N., Union St., Lambertville, through March 22.
Awards were presented to 11 artists at the opening reception on Feb. 8.
Eight artists were selected for cash awards by the juror, Gary Erbe, for the show, as follows:
— The Lambertville Historical Society Award of $100 to Beatrice Bork, of Flemington, for her painting, ” Under the Lambertville-NewHope Bridge”;
— The Janet Marsh Hunt Award in Memory of Vincent Ceglia, of $100, to Dot Bunn, of Doylestown, for her oil painting, “Crossing into Lambertville”;
— The Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission Award to a Hunterdon Artist of $100 to Annelies von Dommelen, of Lambertville, for her oil painting, “Left Field”;
— Friend of the Arts Award of $125 to Bryan Brems, of Doylestown, for his oil painting, “Setting Sun”;
— The Stoller Family Award of $125 to Rhoda Yanow, of Whitehouse Station for her pastel, “Mrs. Lambertville”;
— The Carol and Louis Della Penna Award of $250 to Steve Zazenski, of New Hope for his watercolor, “Winter Walk”;
— The Spirit of Art In Memory of Grace Croteau to Tracy Everly, of Holland, Pennsylvania, for her oil painting, “Hectic Red” for $250 ;
— The Coryell Award of $350 to Dean Thomas, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, for his dry point engraving, “Bridge Street Lambertville;
— Honorable Mention: Stacy Speer Scott, Great Wall of Corn Buckington; Chee-Bravo, Muses in the Meadow and Nancy Shill, Music Mountain.
