Foundation hosts Casino Night

MILLSTONE — The Millstone Township Foundation for Educational Excellence will host its third annual Casino Night fundraiser at 6 p.m. Feb. 21 at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township.

The cost of the event is $75 per person and includes some “fun money” for gambling entertainment, as well as a buffet dinner, dessert and cash bar, according to a press release.

There will be a variety of casino games including a money wheel, Texas Hold ’Em, poker, roulette, blackjack and craps. In addition, there will be a tricky tray and silent auction with prizes.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to funding grants for items that nurture educational experiences for every student in Millstone Township public schools, according to the press release.

Proceeds from the event will help the foundation continue to provide grant funding for innovative and exciting classroom programs, educational opportunities, staff development, and state-of-the-art teaching materials that are beyond the scope of the general school budget.

The foundation operates independently from the Millstone Township K-8 School District and replenishes its grant fund exclusively through private donations and its fundraising efforts.

The foundation has awarded more than $500,260 in grants to Millstone Township schools since 2002, according to the press release.
