Gala will honor longtime volunteers

The annual Congregation B’nai Tikvah gala will honor the spirit of volunteerism and commitment by Cindy and Neal Gittleman of South Brunswick on March 7.

The two have served in various leadership positions; helped to establish several of the synagogue’s signature programs such as the L’dor Vador annual arts and entertainment event; and were part of the South Brunswick Township’s planning committee for the Woodlot ’07 benefit rock concert, which raised funds to aid the victims of the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, Sudan.

Neal Gittleman helped to initiate and foster the Rejoice Festival, a Jewish music and culture festival in Middlesex County.

Cindy Gittleman was part of the organizing committee for the “Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945” exhibit held in South Brunswick in 1996. She has served as president of the Greenbrook School PTO, a volunteer for the Amy Foundation and a career counselor for Dress for Success in Mercer County.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available for the “Oh What a Night” gala at Congregation B’nai Tikvah, 1001 Finnegans Lane, North Brunswick.
