County group to cite Weintraub, Newman,Taylor,Julian and Levine Blumberg
Five Hillsborough women will be honored as Somerset County Outstanding Women for 2015 at a March 27 dinner Friday, March 27, at the Imperia at 1714 Easton Ave., Somerset.
The event is sponsored by the county Commission on the Status of Women. A cash bar at 6 p.m. will be followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person. Advance reservations are required by March 1; no reservations will be taken at the door.
Hillsborough women who will be honored are:
— Martha J. Weintraub of Gallery 14 is an honoree in arts/entertainment;
— Courtney Newman of Hillsborough, co-founder of the Steps Together non-profit that helps families facing medical crises will be honored as a “hometown hero;”
— Jackie P. Taylor of Ernst & Young Success Ladder Enterprises in the information technology category;
— Audrey Levine Blumberg of L.B. Media (The Breeze local newspaper in Bridgewater and Raritan) is nominated in journalism/media, and
— The Shirley Noble Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Estelle Julian, Profile of Positive Aging honoree.
