The South Hunterdon Regional Board of Education has a vacancy for one seat for an unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2015.
The vacancy was created when Peter Gasparro, who represented West Amwell, submitted a letter of resignation at a meeting held early this month.
“He’s taken a new job, and could no longer commit the time needed,” said James Gallagher, Stockton board member.
Qualifying applicants should send a resume with cover letter by March 16 to Kerry Sevilis, business administrator, South Hunterdon Regional High School, 301 Mt. Airy-Harbourton Road, Lambertville, 08530.
Interviews of those who wish to fill the vacancy will be scheduled for March 19 at 7 p.m. in the High School Commons.
Candidates must be: U.S. citizens; 18 years of age or older; be able to read and write; have been a resident for a minimum of one year in the Township of West Amwell; be registered to vote; and have no interest, contract or claim against the school board.
