Hillsborough Township Public Schools will host a presentation on good Internet and social media habits at a Parent Technology Night on Thursday, March 12, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Auten Road Intermediate School cafeteria.
Parents, staff and community members are invited to attend.
Featured will be Richard Guerry, the executive director of the non-profit Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication.
His presentation will discuss the importance of helping a child practice a responsible digital consciousness in every aspect of life to avoid negative repercussions. This presentation, which will discuss cyber safety, is open to novice and avid digital users.
Mr. Guerry is the author of “Public and Permanent: The Golden Rule of the 21st Century.” Written for parents, teachers, and students, the book is a guide for reducing cyberbullying, sexting, sextortion, sextcasting and poor social media behavior.
