BORDENTOWN CITY — The Historic Downtown restaurants are hosting the third annual Restaurant Week, featuring samples of eateries along restaurant row on Farnsworth Avenue from March 29 to April 3.
”Restaurant Week was part of a trend that New York and Philadelphia promote every winter to generate foot traffic during the slow seasons,” said April Sette, marketing and public relations coordinator of Sette Solutions for the Downtown Bordentown Association, in an email Monday.
The event will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. each day. Restaurants participating include HOB Tavern, Oliver-A Bistro, Toscano’s Ristorante, Under the Moon Café, Jesters Café, The Vault, Farnsworth House and Marcello’s Restaurant & Tomato Pies.
”This event is always the week before Easter, and it seems to be very popular because they all do very well,” Ms. Sette said.
She said it allows people to explore the menus, which are a three course prix-fix menu for $19.95 or $29.95.
The event is sponsored by the Downtown Bordentown Association and is co-chaired by Mary Barnes of HOB Tavern and Santiago Aristides of Under the Moon this year.
She said the highlight of the event is the menus.
”Book your reservations today,” she said. “Each restaurant has their menu and phone number on the DBA website.”
