With its great parks, memorable summer camps and fantastic golf courses, every day is an adventure.The hardest part about the summer will be deciding what to do first. Park System summer camps are sure to be the highlight of any child’s vacation. From Avengers Assemble to Summertime Fun at the Fort, these camps feature everything you’d want — games, crafts and nature activities. Some Park System camps allow children to focus on a particular sport or interest such as Surf’s Up and Circus Skills Camp. Can’t choose? You don’t have to. Most Park System camps last a week, allowing children to register for multiple camps and experience new activities throughout the summer.While Park System camps are just for kids, its golf courses welcome players of all ages. Looking for something for your kids to do this summer? Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club (SSYC) offers a top-notch sailing program to kids of all ages and skill levels. Located in Oceanport on the Shrewsbury River, SSYC is a great place to make new and lifelong friends, learn important skills and have a blast. SSYC offers two options for beginners. Mini Camp, a five-day introductory course, teaches sailing basics. At the end of Mini Camp, many decide to continue on to the beginner program. Lessons are held over seven weeks and delve further into the sailing experience. No prior experience necessary — all you need is a life jacket and the desire to have fun! SSYC’s programs allow kids to move from beginner to intermediate to advanced all the while learning more and more.Your child may start as a beginner but in just a couple of years they could be hitting the New Jersey youth racing circuit.Already have some experience?
