Makers Day planned in South Brunswick

A day of activities for New Jersey Makers Day is set for March 21 at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction.

For age 6 and up, the day begins at 11 a.m. with coding, robots and littleBit kits.

Between noon and 1 p.m., all ages can participate in a marzipan sculpting program.

From 1-3 p.m., tweens and teens can make edible art with pancake batter and create cartoon flipbooks. At the same time, all ages can help complete a decoupage project with the library’s Reading Rocks rocking chairs.

In the Smart Lab from 1-3:30 p.m., there will be a demonstration of GarageBand and use of the library’s guitar, piano and microphone to record tracks, as well as a demonstration of how to use the library’s video camera and iMovie software to create videos.

All programs are drop-in. No registration is required.
