Friends of the West Windsor Library
The Friends of the West Windsor Branch of the Mercer County Library wish to thank the community for its generous support of our 33rd Annual Book Sale by donating and purchasing more than 30,000 books. The book sale was a great success!
We also want to thank the many volunteers whose support make this sale possible and fun to run. Additional particular thanks to Sam’s Club, McCaffrey’s, Wegman’s, Mrs. Green’s and Pennington Market for their generous support. Special thanks to our local press, including The West Windsor Plainsboro News, The Princeton Packet and The Trenton Times for promoting our book sale dates and times.
The Annual Book Sale is the Friends of the Library’s main fundraiser. All items sold were donated by the community since last year’s sale. Many of the donations are put into circulation at the library, while others are sorted and held for sale. Proceeds from the sale are used to sponsor special community events held at the library; fund the library’s children’s, young adult, and adult programs; expand the library’s collection; as well as provide other projects and purchases not supported by the Mercer County Library System budget so that our branch library can better meet the needs of our community.
The West Windsor Library accepts donations of new and gently used books and audio visual materials during library hours. Please bring your donations to the circulation desk. Tax receipts are available. Please call ahead if you have a large number of donations so that we can accommodate them.
Information about the Friends of the Library organization and our donations policy is available on our website: sites.google.com/site/friendsofthewestwindsorlibrary.
We hope to see you at next year’s sale or frequent our ongoing sale of special books inside the library.
