PRINCETON: ‘Progress’ reported in contract talks between school board, teachers union

The Princeton school board and the teachers union made “progress” during contract talks last week, a school board member said Tuesday.
The two sides met face to face March 26 “and made material progress on the key issues of salary and benefits,” board member Pat Sullivan said. He declined to elaborate for confidentiality reasons.
“I think it is fair to say that both sides are happy with the progress we made last week,” he said.
A member of the Princeton Regional Education Association could not be reached for comment.
The teachers’ old contract expired at the end of June.
The two sides are due to meet with a mediator April 9, he said.
