County vendors to showcase goods

Monmouth County will host the 2015 Made in Monmouth event 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 11 in the Multipurpose Activity Center at Monmouth University, West Long Branch. Admission is free.

“Today, Monmouth County produces sophisticated custom furniture, artwork, coffee, specialty teas and much more,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “I am proud that our residents can be creative and prosper while giving consumers the option of shopping locally.”

Previous events have showcased jewelry, pretzels, orchids, surfboards, handmade glass, honey, cosmetics, flags, chocolate, tea and much more. All of these items are made in Monmouth County and were available for purchase to the thousands of people who attended the event last year, according to a press release.

Made in Monmouth helps draw attention to businesses that manufacture or grow products in Monmouth County and gives people the opportunity to shop local. There are expected to be more than 120 vendors on hand.
