Girl Scout Troop 80611 will hold a household item drive for the Amandla Crossing housing program through April 19.
Merchants in downtown Metuchen are accepting donations in support of the Scouts. Drop boxes can be found at Marafiki Fair Trade, 20 New St.; Bookstore, Boutique & Café, 420 Main St.; Herbal Health and DZ Tech, 398 Main St.; and Sushi Suzuki, 15 New St.
Donations of the following new items are gratefully accepted: sets of sheets (twin and crib), blankets for twin beds, pillows, dish sets, pots and pans, cleaning buckets, dust pans, mops and brooms, flatware, bath towels, and diapers (1s, 2s, and pull-ups).
