Guest cantor/guitarist Jennifer Rolnick will lead services at a Mostly Musical Shabbat set for 7:30 p.m. May 1 and 9:30 a.m. May 2 at Congregation Beth Ohr, 70 Route 516, Old Bridge.
The May 2 morning service will be followed by a kiddush and a learning session, during which Cantor Rolnick will teach new melodies for traditional prayers. All are invited.
The May 1 evening service will be preceded by a dinner at 6 p.m. for those who wish to participate in a community Shabbat repast. A complete chicken dinner will be offered; however, a vegetarian option will be available upon request.
Cost for the dinner is $25 per adult, $10 for children ages 5-12. Checks, which should be made payable to Congregation Beth Ohr and mailed to the synagogue at P.O. Box 206, Old Bridge, NJ 08857, must be received by April 22.
