Coldwell Banker Cares Day to benefit Monmouth County communities

A ll 55 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. will be giving back to local communities throughout both states and in Monmouth County via charitable efforts as part of the third annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event. Each office has selected a Cares Day project, with most of them taking place April 16-18. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares is the real estate company’s philanthropic arm.

Affiliated sales associates and staff with the following Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in Monmouth County will be supporting their communities by volunteering for the following activities:

 Holmdel/Colts Neck: The office is hosting a Shredding Party on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its 998 Holmdel Road location in Holmdel. Confidential Shredding Services will safely destroy unwanted, confidential documents for free. Canned and non-perishable foods will be accepted for The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

 Howell: The office on 2340 Route 9 south is hosting a food drive through April 18 to benefit the Howell Emergency Food Pantry. Donations of canned and non-perishable food items, home cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items are welcome. Agents are each donating a large box of food and supplies, as well.

 Marlboro/Manalapan: The office on 335 Route 9 south in Manalapan is offering free, secure document shredding via Shred-it on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of canned and non-perishable food items for the Freehold Area Open Door Food Pantry will be accepted.

 Middletown: The office will be performing a beach sweep cleanup of Ideal Beach in Middletown on April 17 from 2- 4 p.m.

 Rumson/Fair Haven: Once every month in 2015, the office is volunteering at the Bayshore Lunch Program in Keyport to cook for and feed more than 50 people.

 Spring Lake: The office is taking the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth County to a Lakewood BlueClaws baseball game on April 26.

 Wall Township: The office is presenting its second annual Pet Adoption Day at its 2051 Route 35 and Ocean Road location in Wall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 18. Participating organizations include Homeless Paws, Wag On Inn Rescue, Associated Humane Societies, Pick Your Paw, Rescue Ridge, Homes for Good Dogs, Luv Furever Animal Rescue and Sea Girt Animal Hospital. Nationally, Coldwell Banker has launched its first ever “Homes for Dogs Project” in 2015 by teaming up with Adopt-a-Pet .com, the largest nonprofit pet adoption website in North America. The campaign aims to find homes for 20,000 dogs in 2015.

During the second annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event in 2014, 846 sales associates volunteered a combined total of 3,341 hours to support 64 different organizations and causes. Sales associates also collected $9,000 worth of food, $1,500 in pet supplies and $8,400 in other goods, as well as collecting $22,775 for charitable causes.

This represented a more than 1,000 percent increase in donations over the previous year, with more than twice as many charities assisted.
