MIDDLETOWN — Local and area businesses are invited to a free evening of business networking at the Middletown Arts Center (MAC) 6-8:30 p.m. May 6. The Business is Blooming and Paint the Town Pink celebration will include dinner and a dessert buffet donated by local restaurants and retailers. Members of the community are encouraged to attend.
The evening also will serve as the official celebration and launch party for Paint the Town Pink 2015, a women’s wellness initiative created by Meridian Health to underscore the need for annual mammograms and early detection of breast cancer.
Middletown will become “Pink Town” during the month of May, a theme that will be reflected in a spring-themed art exhibit “Think Pink” on view at MAC, which is located on Church Street next to the Middletown train station.
Artists who would like to submit original paintings for the exhibit that prominently feature the color pink can contact Maggie O’Brien at the Middletown Arts Center at 732-706-4100.
Information packets, incentives and “pink kits” will be available at the event for businesses and individuals who would like to “go pink” for the month of May, host a “pink” event or enter the windowdecorating contest.
Information and event reservations are available by contacting Lori Anne Oliwa, event chairwoman, at 732-337-8625 or by emailing [email protected].
