East Brunswick Township will hold its annual Memorial Day Observance beginning at 1 p.m. May 24, rain or shine, in Veterans Park on the grounds of the municipal complex, 1 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive.
The event will honor the men and women who lost their lives defending the United States. The Vietnam Veterans of America will serve as the host post. Mayor David Stahl will take part as master of ceremonies. Program participants will include veterans groups, members of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps, the East Brunswick High School Brass Choir and the East Brunswick Community Chorus.
There will be a veterans ceremony, a flag raising, a presentation of wreaths and a patriotic concert. Stahl will read the names of the soldiers on the town’s Hometown Heroes Wall.
The public is invited to attend the event, which is sponsored by the township of East Brunswick, Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services, and the East Brunswick Veterans Alliance.
