WEST WINDSOR-PLAINSBORO: School board officially accepts principal’s resignation

By Lea Kahn, Staff Writer
The resignation of former Thomas Grover Middle School principal Brian Harris was officially accepted by the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional Board of Education Tuesday night.
Mr. Harris resigned for personal reasons. His resignation takes effect June 30. He assumed his duties as principal at the middle school on July 1, 2013. His salary for the 2014-2015 school year is $138,291.
The school board also appointed Gerard Dalton, the district’s assistant superintendent for pupil services/planning, to fill the vacancy. He had served as the principal of the Community Middle School for three years, before taking on the position of assistant superintendent.
School district officials expect to appoint a permanent principal for the Thomas Grover Middle School by the end of June, said David Aderhold, the superintendent of schools. The new principal will be in place when students go back to school in September.
