4-H center to host day camp in July

Middlesex County boys and girls who have completed grades three through six are invited to take part in Middlesex County 4-H’s Explorations Week (E-Week) day camp program.

The program aims to encourage creativity, promote self-confidence, and help campers make new friends and achieve a sense of accomplishment.

Attendees will participate in a variety of daily activities, such as rocketry, theater, archery, scrapbooking, dance, cheerleading, wilderness survival and biking. Friday night includes an optional sleepover with campfire and dinner.

The E-Week program, hosted by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Youth Development program, will run July 20-24, with sessions lasting 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the 4-H Youth Center, 645 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

The cost is $160 for 4-H members and $170 for nonmembers, and includes program materials, daily lunch, a T-shirt and field trip. For a one-time service fee of $25 per child, arrangements can be made for early or late arrivals.

To register, call 732-398-5261 by June 16.
