The Allentown Lions Club will host a Memorial Day parade beginning at 10 a.m. May 25 at the corner of North Main Street and Allen Drive, proceeding south through Allentown, turning onto High Street and finishing at the Upper Freehold Regional School District complex. Grand Marshal Dan Morgan will lead the 2015 Memorial Day Parade. The parade will be followed by a memorial service.
The Shore Ratz will perform outdoors in the beer garden at The Cabin, 984 Route 33, Howell, for Bike Night, at 9 p.m. May 21. The Freehold-based Shore Ratz play a wide variety of classic rock covers with some pop, jazz and even country thrown into the mix. Guests will hear tunes made popular by artists such as the Beatles, Van Morrison, the Ramones, the Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, the Doobie Brothers and many more. The Bayshore Companion Dog Club Spring Agility Trial will take place 8 a.m.-3 p.m. May 29-31 at the East Freehold Showgrounds, 1500 Kozloski Road, Freehold Township. All are welcome to attend the event.
The Millstone Township Open Space and Farmland Preservation Council and the Agricultural Advisory Council will host the ninth annual clambake fundraiser from 1- 5:30 p.m. June 7 at Wagner Farm Park, 4 Baird Road, Millstone Township. Limited tickets are available and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children, if purchased by May 22. Lobster is not included with the children’s ticket price.
