HOWELL — In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, Saint Veronica School kicked off the week with a visit by staff and students to the CareOne nursing and rehabilitation center in Jackson in January.
The children performed a variety of music selections for the residents, including piano, flute and harp solos, and choreographed numbers from their spring musical, “Annie,” which was performed on April 17 and 18.
Seventh-grader Mary Schuld performed as Annie and eighth-grader Chris Clayton played Daddy Warbucks.
According to a press release, the residents enjoyed the students’ performances. Afterward, the students delivered handmade cards and rosary beads to all the residents.
