Princeton Shopping Center owner looks to aquire vacant property

By Philip Sean Curran, Staff Writer
New York real estate firm George Comfort & Sons, the former owner of the Princeton Shopping Center, will look to acquire about 4.5 acres of vacant land on the shopping center property that is zoned for senior housing.
A proposal to subdivide the land was filed with the municipal planning office on May 28 calling for the 32.5 acre site to be split up into two new lots. Edens, the current owner, would retain 28.1 acres as part of one lot, while George Comfort & Sons would have the rest as part of the other.
The municipal Planning Board will have to consider the application for a subdivision.
Representatives for Edens and George Comfort & Sons could not be reached for comment.
