HOPEWELL VALLEY: Girls complete religion program

Ten local girls, including six from Hopewell Valley communities, completed the “Religion in Life: Girls” program at Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing.
“Religion in Life: Girls,” the Unitarian Universalist Association’s religious award program for Girl Scouts, takes six months to complete and involves religious study, service and reflection.
The program, which is open to all girls regardless of religious orientation, helps girls to form bonds with one another and build self-confidence while learning about their religious and Girl Scout heritages.
Sarah Burke and Charlie Groth, both of Lambertville, served as advisors. All of the girls who completed the program are in grades four through nine.
Completing the program were Allison Cohen, of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania; Emma Fernandez, of Titusville; Adelaide Groth-Tuft, of Lambertville; Kaylah Thornton, of East Windsor; Chelsea Kent, of Pennington; Elizabeth Downie, of Hopewell; Naomi Kahney, of Yardley, Pennsylvania; Rose Earling, of Titusville; and Sarah and Emily Griffen, of Pennington.
